about.
Inspired by a short story of Kafka by the same name, the play explores the crisis between the protagonist on display and his ‘spectators’.
It examines the artist’s identity, his relationship with the land and its tiller, the violent act of spectatorship, what does it mean to be on display, and most of all what does it mean to be hungry.

We opened our play successfully in November 2018 in Mumbai and have since been invited to perform in Kenya as part of the Kenya International Theatre Festival, in Delhi as part of The Old World Theatre Festival, Art Dissent Activism Festival at Ashoka University and in Bangalore for the Ranga Shankara Festival 2019.
